Fee Types
Fee types are used to help you keep track of your financial activities. Fee types are used both for credits (like a coupon) and fees (like a registration fee).
Every account begins with the two basic fee types shown here: "Registration credit" and "Registration fee."
These two fee types are all that is needed to use Main Street Sites Back Office features. All incoming fees from registrations will be assigned the "Registration fee" fee type and all incoming credits from registrations will be assigned the "Registration credit" fee type.
To edit or delete a fee type, hover over the fee type and click the blue down arrow on the far right. This action displays a drop-down list with both the "Edit" and "Delete" commands. You can also edit a fee type by clicking its name (e.g., "Registration credit"). This action opens a dialog (shown below) that allows you to rename the fee type or change it from a credit to a debit (or vice versa).
Using fee types with a store
If you are selling products on your website, you may wish to add fee types for products, taxes and shipping, as shown here:
Using more fee types and sub-types
You can can add as many fee types and sub-types as you like. This example shows a user who has added two credit sub-types:
These fee types can be used when defining prices in Setup > Settings > Online Order Settings. Each price you define (including coupons) can have a unique fee type assigned to it.
Fee types can also be used when setting a sales tax amount in Setup > Settings > Online Order Settings. You can indicate which fee type incoming sales tax charges should use.
