Holidays Overview

Holidays are used to in conjunction with the Class Meetings feature. Holidays allow you to specify days when all of your classes will not be meeting.

When you enter a holiday, Main Street Sites will automatically move all class meetings on that date to the same day on the following week.

For example, if you will not be holding classes on July 4th, you can enter July 4th as a holiday. All classes that currently meet on July 4th will be automatically moved to the following week. The calculated end date for each class will be updated to reflect the new end date.

Similarly, a holiday can be used to move classes for a particular teacher or location. This can be useful when a teacher is out sick or when a location is closed unexpectedly.
